在Rage3D Forum看到的討論
據說會有以下規格 - G1600L : GPU 300 MHz, 128 Mo DDR 256 bits 200 MHz, 500歐元 - G1600M : GPU 350 MHz, 128 Mo DDR 256 bits 250 MHz, 650歐元 - G1600H : GPU 450 MHz, 256 Mo DDR 256 bits 300 MHz, 1000歐元 不知道會不會是另一個April Fools joke    測試系統的CPU據說是3GHz的Pentium4 Quake 3的測試解析度是1600x1200  |

其實今天的"新聞"還有 ATI Radeon8500 MAXX http://hardwareanalysis.com/content/article/1502/ S3 Columbia http://www.planetsavage.net "We've gotten a hold of an S3 Columbia alpha prototype from a former S3 Graphics employee. It's clocked at 250/250. Drivers are extremely buggy. It sports some sort of Tile Based Rendering (documents call it Chameleon or something). The card we have uses 128-bit DDR memory bandwidth and has a fully functional (albeit buggy) T&L engine. It should *supposedly* have DX9 features though we surely have no way to confirm. Initial benchmarks put it ahead of our GeForce 4 Ti samples in every 2D application. It even beats the Bitboys Oy prototype that we have in StutterMark2002 (from MadOnion)." 只不過都是假的 |

S3 Columbia 因該是有研發沒錯∼只是目前改為VIA Columbia GPU 了。
它的詳細資料如下 VIA Columbia GPU is expected to be released in Q4. Columbia is expected to run at a clock speed of 300Mhz and feature 4 pipelines with 2 texture units per pipe, a 128-bit DDR interface and DirectX8 (&9?) compliance. Columbia is expected to be built on a 0.13(?) micron process. 記得ComputerDIY 二月號就有介紹 那裡頭也有提S3 Graphics ProSavage8相關訊息 好像寫了三個S3研發的繪圖晶片 一個就是S3 Graphics ProSavage8 另一個是專給顯示卡用的（規格很嚇人，好像比G2TI還出色！） 最後一個是NB用的 不過那三個的規格我都不記得了（因為在書店看，所以沒辨法記下來） 請有那本雜誌的網友，方便的話貼一下吧，謝謝。 |
