HTC Duo Camera

Looking at specifications only, our gut tells us that means the HTC One M8 should take some seriously great low light photos but struggle a bit in brighter settings. It could also cause it to struggle a little while capturing motion shots. The iPhone 5s on the other hand has a higher megapixel count and a lower aperture. That should make it faster and more able to capture brighter shots without over exposing them.

In my opinion, Apple wins this round. The iPhone 5s does a great job of balancing colors, tones, and exposure 99.9% of the time. And for people who just want to pull out their phone, snap a photo, and not have to fiddle with settings, they'll appreciate that. The HTC One M8's Duo camera does some neat tricks but I would have rather seen HTC focus on overall image quality before adding bells and whistles.

　　HTC’s camera tuning and app remain some of the best executed in the Android space. The new camera UI is even more simplified, without sacrificing flexibility should you need it. The new Auto Max ISO settings are incredibly useful.
　　The Duo Cam features vary from gimmicky to surprisingly cool. I don’t know that the addition of a second camera sensor is good allocation of BOM resources, particularly if it’s not going to improve image quality. Just like with the M7’s UltraPixel camera however, in the case of the M8, HTC leverages compute to automate effects processing and not improving image quality, which is the main problem.
　　There are differences in camera tuning compared to the M7, but by and large captures aren’t really improved. In some cases there’s even a regression thanks to the lack of OIS. Ultimately that’s the biggest problem with the new One. It’s an upgrade in so many areas but it lacks the substantial step forward in primary camera quality that is necessary to move the high end to a better place.

HTC One M8神州纏鬥Galaxy S5，勝算何如？

HTC季報顯示，
1Q14營收331.2億元（1Q13為428億）
1Q14營益率-6.18％（1Q13為0.1%）
今年三月營收162.25億元（Mar'13為158.8億元）

相較M7上市時供貨吃緊的去年三月，今年三月有號稱貨源充足的M8與「iPhone 5c殺手」的Desire 816，營收最終年增2.2%。

值得注意的是，HTC當初是遲至2月中旬才提出首季營運目標340~360億元，最後營收仍是無法達陣。

M8比去年的M7倍受禮讚，且供應無虞，佐以Desire 816衝鋒，HTC接下來的表現理應超越去年，拭目以待。

在虛擬通路方面，16GB版GS5@$190跟32GB版M8@$150已開打，而後者的價位相同於32GB版Note 3。Amazon top 20中，GS5、GS4、Note 3、Note 2共占了15席，M8奪得亞、季軍兩個席次。

因為iPhone 5s發售已半年，4月份起在兩大Android機皇夾攻下，料將讓出蟬聯已久的冠軍寶座，待9月份iPhone 6回歸。

Apple's position may be in peril, as many Android buyers are thought to have been waiting for the release of the HTC One M8 and Samsung's new Galaxy S5 before upgrading. Those launches could knock Apple out of the top spot next month, though the company would likely win back its crown with the launch of the so-called iPhone 6. We believe Apple will win back meaningful high-end market share during H2/C2014 based on our belief new iPhones with larger screen sizes could create a strong upgrade cycle among Apple's loyal base. With our surveys indicating strong customer loyalty for the iPhone, we believe Apple could strongly benefit from a broader adoption of new service plans with early-upgrade options. Further, with these plans facilitating annual upgrades to new smartphones, we believe these plans in the coming years could in fact boost iPhone replacement sales and help Apple grow sales in the more saturated and mature developed countries that sell a greater mix of high-end smartphones.

5s都上市那麼久了, S5還沒上市

M8就算拿下第1名...嗯

我不是想黑他們 , 只是真的值得高興的時刻是大家都上市時再來談會比較爽快

對於研究趨勢者，重點在事件追蹤記錄，而非瞬間的高低。接下來的觀察要點，會是在比GS4、M7更新的GS5、M8是否能一改高階銷售鈍化的頹勢，拉抬業績，至於誰賣得多，事實勝於雄辯，已無比較必要。
