Grizzlies’ Vince Carter plans on returning next season
Despite being one of the league’s oldest players at 39 years of age, Vince Carter doesn’t plan on hanging it up any time soon.
儘管39歲的Vince Carter已經是聯盟中最老的球員之一，但他並沒有打算就此結束。
Following the Memphis Grizzlies‘ season-ending loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday afternoon, Carter was asked if he planned to retire this offseason, to which he replied, via Chris Herrington of the Memphis Commercial Appeal:
"I feel good. My body feels good. I still hate losing. I plan to be back."

The 18-year veteran has one year left on his contract with Memphis. While he’ s no longer a difference-maker, he still remains a cog in the rotation. Carter averaged 6.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 16.8 minutes per game this past season.

Despite numerous injuries that derailed the team’s season, including Mike Conley and Marc Gasol, Vince Carter remained one of the more durable players on the roster, ranking fifth on the team in games played with 60. Most of the games Carter did not play was due to being a healthy scratch, rather than due to injury.

The question is, if Carter hates losing, will he return with the Grizzlies next season? The team seems to be entering an offseason with more questions than answers and don’t appear to be anywhere close towards a championship.
