這是一篇說明 CRT 使用 DVI 可以獲得怎樣的好處，裡面「第六頁」有一個比較圖 (請自行參閱原 pdf 檔案，「圖 1」)，其文字部分如下：(稍微翻了一下方便閱讀)

在 CRT Pre-Amplifier 處量測訊號 (a) 類比介面傳輸 (左)；(b) 數位 DVI (右)。
Figure 1.(b) shows an improved rise and fall time of the video signal, not affected by the graphics controller DAC, EMI filters and cable of the analog interface. Note that while the digital interface offers the opportunity of improved image quality due to the improved video signal, the extent to which it does depends on the design of the CRT monitor.
由「圖一 (b)」可看出不使用顯示卡 DAC、EMI filter (顯示卡輸出會有一個 filter)，與類比傳輸的線，影像的訊號波形上升、下降時間皆獲得改善。數位傳輸因為改善了影像的訊號品質，所以可以改善影像的品質，但改善的程度與 CRT 的設計有關。

第 7 頁的圖 2 顯示了他的結構圖。雖然這是廠商的白皮書，或許無法 100% 公正，不過倒是可以提供一些參考的價值。
