My adapter is G400 DH 32SGRAM, it works well all the time running both NT4 and NT5.
You can try installing NT SP3 or later.
Can you see the information dialog under Win98 ? If can , try to setup Matrox utility to see your adapter's properties. One more question : can you play games such as doom, Quake 3...etc under Win98 ? If you can play them I guess your card should have no problem with it. Try to reinstall your NT ,it might help.

花了我一個禮拜的時間，
原本來以為卡壞掉了，
原來是 AGP Bus Turbo Mode 搞的鬼，
使用 NT 我把它 Disabled，
華碩 P5A-B 主機板。
裝英文Driver，中文Driver就是裝不起來。
Enabled 能跑 4X 嗎？
還是比 2X 快一些？

I'm glad that you found the fault at last. If you have "4A" among your G400's serial number that it should work on AGP 4X, otherwise Matrox doesn't garantee your G400 work fine under AGP4x. In my opinion, people who buy G400 should like its image quality and excellent 2D performance if using G400 in 3D gaming, it should also be capable of this. So does it really matter to you G400 works under AGP 4X ?? If you are a benchmark chaser, I suggest you to have a fast CPU because a fast CPU would bring better benchmarks than VGA adapters do. Do you agree with me ?

In your situation, I've reinstalled my NT today, and my G400 can perform well both English and Chinese drivers without modifying system. Maybe you should uninstall your driver in VGA mode then reinstall driver again ( Maybe this time you should try WHQL version 4.21 )after reboot. Thus you can get a "full" driver. Try try try , no pain, no gains !!

為了測BIOS這項功能，
我使用3DMAX99在 win98 測試
3DMarks: 356x CPU 3DMarks: 681x
將AGP TURBO enable 後，
3DMarks: 355x CPU 3DMarks: 677x
似乎沒什麼變化，反而減少？(參考！)
最近才剛換成 K6-3 的 CPU，
目前 NT 銀幕正常，這樣我就很滿意！
會嘗試更換新的中文DRIVER，thank you！
我想沒人回了吧？^_^

那如果是win2k呢
我所用的driver是新的版本（5.01.019）
他不能抓到我的g400只好使用舊的driver
這種情形也和前面幾位網友所提供的意見相同嗎？
或是還有其他情形呢？

I use PD 5.01.019 on my Win2k Retail. It works quite well and seldom crashes!
Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Painter all can display excellent quality, and I can play Tarzan Action Game with correct mapping. My appz are running very smoothly so far. If there's any problem ,I'll post them to let you know.

my win2k is build 2128
the driver i used can't work well.
maybe u can help me ! i check the website in the microsoft company.but the matrox doesn't pass the certification by MS YET!
