Good idea speaking English and thinking English at the same time....

By the way,

don't anyone find that U.S. President "Bush" Speak English very "Good"?

I mean it's clearly nad speed control also well.

Everytime watch TV news listen what he said...

it's a really good way to traning your listening...

You have made so many grammar mistakes in such a short paragraph.
However, you are so courageous to express what you wanna say in English.

Actually, reporters at CNN don't have any British accent, they still speak in standard American English. I think the reason why students in Taiwan can't realize the CNN news report is perhaps the way of thinking. Even if our students may understand every word the reporters say, they may have difficulties in putting words together, because they still try to translate those sentences into Chinese, while next sentence comes up quickly before our students figure out the meanings of the previous sentences. In other words, it has very little to do with accent, the important issue is to think in English. If you want to say something in English, do not try to think of translating sentences into English then speak out, it will take a lot of time, a...

I totally agree that thinking in English, but I consider British accent is really a huge problem for those one who have learned US accent for years in Taiwan.
Maybe it's not a trouble to you but those one are in poor listening comprehension won't get it.
By the way, maybe you have no idea that CNN in Taiwan is CNN Asia, rather CNN in US. They are totally different, do you understand?

I have a problem.

When i am reading over a english sentence (or listening), I can understand what it means ,but I cannot memorize it well after several minutes...except spending more time reading again and again....

That is not like the Chinese-written one...and is the main problem with my textbook

because English is not your mother language....

that all I can get...

I have same problem too.

English textbook if I didn't read whole chapter at same time.

one day after almost forgot and need back to first again

maybe comprehension skill is big issue...

but when I read English 'papaer'(for research use) I have to read one article
2-3 times, then I can get the "point"....
