Howard跟湖人應該都會想要先簽後換，一邊拿高薪、一邊不會落得什麼都沒有的窘境...
但火箭的陣容沒辦法單獨跟湖人進行先簽後換，即便是Asik+Lin都還不夠，剩餘的球員不是湖人看不上眼、就是薪資太少，所以三方交易、甚至四方交易都很有可能。 若火箭也想把J.Smith找來，老鷹應該也會很高興。在拿不到Howard後，應該會啟動重建計畫，老鷹應該會想收Asik。但雙方應該也是會採先簽後換的方式，如此火箭又同樣面臨該用什麼人+Asik去換J.Smith的問題... 若火箭也想把Jose Calderon找過來，就算真的行，我看替補陣容也殘缺不行了。 其實，在Howard加入火箭後，火箭的先發陣容的得分點至少有三個了(鬍子+帥哥+Howard)，再找J.Smith其實沒有必要性，應該把剩餘薪資、人員用來補強板凳才是，除非火箭想要先發整季打滿48分鐘...
