其實如果引擎在低轉數 雨又很大的話 還是有可能會熄火的 只是現在飛機引擎大都有所謂的FADEC系統 會幫監視引擎狀態 讓可靠度大幅增加 有些飛機甚至有自動點火 就是假如飛機在空中熄火 會自動重新點火的功能 另外回答版主的問題 引擎產生的熱有一部份會被滑油吸收 然後用燃油冷卻滑油(在高空時燃油非常冷) 總之現代turbo-fan engine已經進步到一個程度 可靠度非常高 |

是有一種飛機用水冷... XB-70女武神,
不過這不單是冷卻引擎而是冷卻全機了... 過熱的話水會慢慢蒸發帶走熱量... 另外, 引擎都會有噴水試驗, 一般來說雨水會被引入旁通管然後從後面排出而不經過燃燒室... 不過天候太惡劣(暴風雪, 暴雨)的話, 為了避免意外一般來說還是可能會停飛

剛剛看了軍武頻道 在播AV-8 獵鷹 裡頭有提到，滯空盤旋時，需要引擎最大推力，這時靠的是不斷將水注入發動機，但水只有 150加侖，所以滯空盤旋最多90秒 |

一般的船舶&潛艦... 船上冷卻都是靠海水啊! 例如遊艇快艇 等等... 比較高級一點的... 才用淡水或是滑油打循環 然後跟海水熱交換!! 用海水當然會腐蝕以及結垢... 所以熱交換器 要做更換或者清洗!

早期的活塞引擎螺旋漿飛機，引擎有水冷和氣冷兩種，水冷引擎汽缸多半是V型縱列，冷卻液在吸收引擎熱量後，流經機翼下方的冷卻散熱器冷卻，再回流繼續冷卻引擎。
氣冷引擎汽缸是環狀排列為星型，藉流經氣缸體散熱鰭片的空氣次卻，最多可安排兩列星型汽缸，不然前方氣缸把冷空氣擋光，後列的汽缸就沒得散熱了。 渦輪扇引擎會產生高熱，故要等近代材料科學有突破後才得以出現。渦輪扇引擎惟恐不夠熱，只要尾管排出的熱氣別把機體給燒壞，不太需要考慮冷卻的問題。 |
