I appreciate your offer for a personal interview, especially because you did not answer Explorersweb when they first asked for an interview. However, I would like to keep this public, to provide transparency, and because that is the only way I can assure you that your answers are not going to be taken out of context.
So here are my questions:
1. Manaslu: Describe the terrain from C3 to C4 and from C4 to summit: snow depth, state of ropes. How much was the difference between the tracks from BC to C3 and from C3 to summit?
2. About the video that Dolma posted about your sherpa guide climbing in waist deep snow: how long was this deep snow section, and at what altitude and what time was the video recorded?
3. What was the weather like during your whole summit push? Especially wind above C4?
4. Did you carry a backpack? If yes, what weight?
5. What and how much did you eat and drink during the ascent?
6. According to your GPS track that you published, your pace considerably accelerated from 7500 meters, you climbed from 7600 to 8163 meters in 2 hours, covering 200 meters in the last hour, mostly above 8000 meters. How do you explain such a speed that is even unprecedented in men’s speed ascents at that height?
7. How do you explain that you were almost as fast in the last two hours as in the first hour, your speed not decreasing with the altitude, but even increasing substantially above 7500 meters?
8. Do you still claim that your speed is purely from your acclimatization on the Pakistani 8000ers? What about fatigue and body mass loss after climbing four 8000ers in 22 days?
9. If your GPS device was faulty because of the luggage covered in snow, how did you record the descent from BC to Samagaon on 6th October, which track is also visible on your Mapshare?
10. Why are all your previous tracks not visible on Mapshare? You did not track your previous climbs?
11. When you were asked for evidence, why did you reply that you had a bad connection on the mountain, yet you had time and connection to answer dozens of your fans’ comments one by one?
12. How old were you when you started mountain climbing? What were your main climbing achievements before starting climbing 8000ers?
13. What is your best time ever running a marathon distance? (Provide link to official result list.) What is the longest distance you have ever run or cycled?
14. Have you ever tried skyrunning, even as training? What was your best time ever for 1000 meters of ascent?
15. What is your VO2 max?
16. Do you still insist that you climbed Manaslu without oxygen and in 13 hours on October 3rd/4th?
These are just some obvious questions that climbers would ask in this situation. The researcher team of 8000ers.com may ask the same or more, and will check the validity of the data you have so far provided.
