升級有時要打破現有的框框,要考慮前後的性價比在來考慮
我個人升級的時機,是說自己的性能跟市面上的有一段差距,但是又相容的情況再來升級,不一定要 100%相容,若是能用轉接卡升級的話也無妨,若是差距太大,有時整個換掉C/P值還比較高,也比較沒有相容性的問題 舉例來說,一顆P-3T 512K版的,在某些地區可以換一顆2.4~2.8G等級的,甚至一整台中上,店家組的2.4G+級的電腦 <---當然裡面的料是不敢保證  再者,1.0G...若不是要打電動或是大量運算的話也該夠了,多撐個幾個月等規格穩定下來再換會省更多.現在先把小朋友看好,年底 K8的情況也該穩定了,S-939 會成為主流,那時買,除了省錢也確保未來升級的空間,至於Intel方面還有待觀察,但年底的情況應該會明朗的多.

呼呼...以前也很期待PIII-S 1.4G
不過實在太高貴了吧 以我目前看到的價格都能買到一顆穩上3.6G的2.4CG 就算PIII-S 1.4G有再高的效能與穩定度 也被比下去啦 |

若說看伺服器與工作站的SMP能力,P3S 1.4 的價錢差不多可以買一顆 XEON 2.4 604 pin的,效能相比之下當然是 XEON勝出,還沒比其他週邊的支援度 桌上型的也是不能比,現在有點搞不懂這顆是出來作什麼的... 效能是很猛,但是定位很奇怪...只能說是 intel高時脈戰略下的犧牲品吧 =.=
