來來來，先來個流行電音EQ智商小抽考，你知道當今電音樂壇中，三大最
具知名度的光頭是哪三位？答案是Richie Hawtin、電音製作人Larry Tee
以及旁邊這個看起來臉帶傻笑，頭上毛髮稀少的鬼才，Moby。

然而先撇開光頭外表不談，若回顧摩比過去幾張專輯，卻會發現這位電音
光頭王子卻是個音樂類型大玩家，看看他曾以techno電音起家的《Moby》
，或到drum 'n' bass、電影影像配樂的《I Like To Score》專輯、抑或
大玩thrash metal的《Animal Rights》及讓他真正揚名立萬的《Play》
代表作，都不難發現摩比的玩心頗重，而且對於各種類型音樂都非常具企
圖心，故常使得他的樂迷們總會帶著驚喜的心情聽完他的專輯。當然也拜
《Play》的雅俗共賞，更是幫他登上世界超級電音巨星的王座，甚至於
《Play》裡頭的每一首歌曲都先後地被拿去當作電視****歌曲或單曲發行
，讓《Play》這張專輯毫無疑問地成為九零年代末最重要的電音作品之一。

因此，若以此顯赫事蹟來看承續《Play》新作《18》的話，便會立即發現
一件事實：怎麼這張專輯聽來頗似《Play》的延伸版本？或者應該這麼說
，那些咿咿喔喔的上天恩主公祈禱文怎又再次出現在好幾首歌曲中，讓人
聽過第一次覺得新鮮還不錯，但這次專輯再繼續使用卻就讓人頭皮發麻，
濫情之淚噴之欲出。

是了，倘若有人覺得《18》仍是張佳作，那麼撇開這些讓人直掉髮的典型世
界音樂取樣歌曲，其實摩比這次真正的佳作反而是藏在如〈Signs Of Love〉
或是〈We Are All Made of Stars〉這些歌曲裡，而這次摩比加重他人聲演
唱的部分就屬〈Extreme Ways〉表現最為出色，其低吼略而沙啞的嗓音雖讓
人不免想到Iggy Pop的唱風，但至少他已經擺脫了一般DJ只會取樣本事的
泛泛行列，晉升成為一名「歌手」；此外〈Sunday (The Day Before My
Birthday)〉是值得注意的曲目，其主要人聲是取樣自七○年代一位成人迪斯
可女王Sylvia Robinson的嬌柔嗓音，但在摩比巧妙的重新編曲下，卻散發
出情慾與天使同在的奇異氛圍，而且這連帶使得緊接著的標題曲〈18〉成了
惹人憐愛的淡雅演奏小品，而〈Sleep Alone〉則成了後九一一事件的祈禱歌
曲，讓人不得不佩服摩比縱使《18》的成就未如前者那般的耀眼，至少這次
他依然交出一張持平的成績單。

好像在聽舒情歌一樣

他在台灣只有兩張專輯
他的音樂偏向把詩歌般的磅礡氣勢配樂融入迷幻空間的電音
嗯....很棒....
只是不好買

不過我倒覺得ORBITAL很類電玩..偶調查過.澳洲人特愛..哈！曾經為了賣一樣東西把ORBITAL的西低送人..
建議你可以去找找看mixmag四月號有付贈ORBITAL的特輯，粉好聽，夠古靈精怪，也夠機車，但養耳說！

In recent years, tourism, development, dance and live music events have had a negative effect on the environment and ecological balance in Southern Taiwan.

It's time to give something back.

This June 1st on Mr.Wang's farm, near Kenting, we will raise environmental awareness through art, dance, music and growth. Every person attending will plant an indigenous seedling tree as an example of our respect for the environment and our stake in its the future.

The semi-outdoor sound stages are being designed to be used for many years to come. To contain and direct sound and counter noise pollution, we will plant certain local trees in a formation that will become more and more effective as it ages.
