Last friday,xfastest received couple pair of PC-8500c5 from Patriot memory
those pairs , patriot rates DDR2-1066c5 and 2.3v,the Viper serials was QVL on Nvidia SLI platrom
and has EPP profile for auto overclocking


then today, we tested pairs on INtel's X48 platform, of course on Gigabyte who has good oc - mem ablity
we has discovered since 965p time.we rig system windows vista x64bit, fully supports 8GB memories
first of all,overclock to 600mhz (affective DDR2-1200 C5) with Quad slots push north bridge
very hardly,the NB is end of 8GB DDR2-1200,no matter what vdimm or vmch
with 2GBX4(4GB kit ), patriot's viper works on 1200c5 2.0 very well.

with 2GBX4 4GB kits, viper passed ddr2-1200c5 in dual super pi 32m, kind of stable for sure
and the vdimm only 2.0v, look at the hardware mointor,the VIN1 is the mermoy voltage, aslo we set
+2.0v in X48 DQ6 bios.

update this after few hours, paid more attentions on this pair
all like what i mentioned , large capacicy & high speed are very depended on
MCH & bios tweaks from Gigabyte.

discover what the lowest voltage i could run 1066mhz with 4GB kit
we know the official release viper 1066 and 2.3v
though can't set direct voltage what i want in bios
if leave "normal", will let motherboard auto set to 2.2v
so i need to set it manually, +0.5v in bios, and the real is 1.87v
that what i can set the lowest voltage with X48 DQ6.

im very impressived with the ultra low voltage, i get 1.87v and 1066c5
at this frequency, still very stable.

so i keep go on, tried 1100,1120.....and finally i were shocked by this pair
with the very low voltage 1.87v ran dual super pi 32m and pass 590mhz (affective DDR2-1180)
