近期由 NVIDIA 所發佈的顯示卡驅動程式 NVIDIA WHQL 196.75 版，許多玩家反應，在安裝它並用來玩 Blizzard 旗下遊戲《星海爭霸II》《魔獸爭霸3》之後，將會因為顯示卡驅動出現問題，導致顯示卡風扇停止工作，然後造成顯示卡燒毀的災情。


　　Blizzard 官方表示，近期有許多玩家回報遊戲中的 FPS 張數嚴重降低。經過查證之後，發現這些玩家部份甚至還傳出顯示卡燒毀的問題，這些全因為 NVIDIA 新版的驅動 NVIDIA WHQL 196.75，會因為驅動問題造成顯示卡風扇停止運作，若再用來玩《星海爭霸II》或《魔獸爭霸III》，你的顯示卡將會過熱燒毀。

　　Blizzard 進而提出解決方案，首先請安裝 NVIDIA WHQL 196.75 版驅動的 NVIDIA 顯示卡玩家先行移除，再安裝以下對應版本的驅動程式即可避免此問題：

From Blizzard :
We're getting reports where users are getting intermittent low FPS after installing these drivers. It seems that it is related to the fan control included in these drivers not working correctly and is causing the video card to overheat on 3D applications. This will affect Warcraft 3, World of Warcraft and StarCraft 2 Beta. Please uninstall the drivers and revert back to the older ones.
