Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace: Yes, it's true. Fox is looking at a November 13th release for a 2-DVD special edition of the Star Wars prequel. Planned extras will include two behind-the-scenes commentaries (neither by Lucas, who evidently is trying to retain his mystique), a separate track with John Williams' music cues, a large section devoted to the computer imagery, and an interactive editing workshop (like the "Men In Black" Collector's Edition). One big question is how the sound will be handled, whether it will be encoded with Dolby 5.1 or the relatively new Dolby 6.1 (the original movie track was eight channels plus EX).
