Force flash mode

If all else fails, the OXFW900 has a force flash mode to turn off the internal processor and force the device into
programming mode. This mode is entered by temporarily grounding pin 123 while the device is powered. The device
will then BUSY all requests except quadlet writes to offset 0xF0080000, the flash programming port, making the
device appear blank to the programmer. To program in this mode, plug in and power the device, pull pin 123 low, then release it, then program as normal.

The OXFW911 also has a force flash mode that can be used when the device is NOT powered. Short pin 57 of the
OXFW911 to ground and then apply power. Powering up with this pin grounded will cause the device to enter ¡§Force Flash¡¨ mode and the flash port will be enabled.

NOTE: Pin 57 should then be open circuit before attempting to program the internal flash. Programming the flash
must then be performed using the FW9 utility as the flash will be completely blank (hence it will not contain the
firmware uploader which is present after manufacturing of the OXFW911 device). See the ¡§FW9¡¨ subdirectory of the ¡§OXFW900 Uploader¡¨ directory.
