裡面的燒錄器是RICOH MP 5240A

Have tried this machine for 2 weeks, burn 3-4 hours per day...now few problems come out---> getting 'no disc' message for new blank +r disc & could not read non-finalized +r disc, & could not properly finalized after recording( with "error" message after long time burning, about 120mins to the limit of a disc under sp mode).

but all ok with +rw & finalized +r?

Is this normal? I heard Philips also have same problems.

The distributor says they will send someone to check my machine?

the distributor has called me last night and would like to send me some more +rw disc for trial, they don't have any +r disc? they want me to test the machine for them with 10pcs of free +rw??? anyway, have not received the discs yet.

however, i have brought the +r discs (from the same bulkpack, Melody 10pc/box at ntd399) back to the shop to test (wonder if it could the bad discs).....they used Musteck machine to test....with 40% readable - means 4 dics successful, out of 10; not sure if these 40% could be also burned well), the musteck is a new machine so I assume the problem comes from the disc instead of the machine. Then i bought a Philip+r for test....my machine now could read Philip+r disc (but i don't want to burn the disc yet)....quite s big assumption DVD vedio recoder is picky for the quality of the disc...and Melody +R could be bad for some batches as my first 10 pcs are done well, it got bad from the 2nd 1opcs box.

i have burned 2 +rw last night, looks both fine; one with 122mins SP & another one with 53min HQ; this morning I have burned a tv programe with a new +rw, 10mins, it looks there is a little pause in the middle...again is this also sign of bad disc (bandled free Melody +rw when i was buying this machine).

I am thinking maybe it is not very good for the laser pick-up to burn the disc overtime (like 120mins out of a 120min disc SP)?
or bad disc?

請問有試過跟日系 DVD Recorder錄出來的畫質比較嗎??
用過Pioneer DVR-7000 & DVR-77H...品質真的沒話說

received the test +rw this morning, very good service as a distributor; guess they encourage me to use +rw than +r disc as the quality of +r varies & may cause more problems. however, bad +r costs me a lot already, i will at this moment go for +rw till my faith for +r is back

the recording quality is not bad; they are using Cirrus chip sets for mepg2 encoding & Philip dv to mepg2 convertor chip set for 1394 interface; the dvd drive is ricoh; the dv to hq is excellent, no difference at all between dv & dvd+rw; basically hq (60mins/disc) is very good no matter what quality of signal you feed to; as to sp mode (120min), the source is very important, nice source could cause great quality or bad one would cause pixilation when it comes to fast moving.

never tried ep, lp...etc, i hate vcd quality, it hurts my eyes

most important, by far no matter +r or +rw recorded discs could both be played on my 3 dvd players; i have sent some to my friends in taiwan & japan to see if this format also works on their dvd players.
