Santa Cruz introduces DH bike with Virtual Pivot Point suspension
Santa Cruz, CA ?October 10, 2001 ?Santa Cruz Bicycles has developed a new DH model, the V10, featuring the VPP suspension. It is slated for delivery in Spring 2002. The V10𠏋 efficient VPP suspension offers 10" (254mm) of total travel (6" positive, 4" negative), plus high torsional and lateral rigidity. The frame also features replaceable dropouts that provide the option of using through-axle or standard rear hubs, and an optional floating disc brake mount. The frame comes equipped with the highly adjustable Progressive 5th Element shock with Titanium spring and will retail for $1799 in the base version or $2199 for the frame with through-axle rear hub and floating disc brake mount. Complete bikes will sell for $4750 - $5050 and be available with an exclusive racing version of the Rock Shox Boxxer Pro fork featuring low friction Ti Nitride stanchion tubes. Frame weight is 10.5 ?11 lb. (including rear shock) depending on size.

Santa Cruz introduces XC bike with Virtual Pivot Point Suspension
Santa Cruz, CA ?October 10, 2001 ?Santa Cruz Bicycles has developed a new XC model, the Blur, featuring the VPP suspension. It is slated for delivery in June 2002. The Blur features the efficient VPP suspension with 4" (100mm) travel, high torsional and lateral rigidity, replaceable drive side dropout, and two new anodized colors. The frame will come equipped with a Fox Float RL shock and will retail for $1399 anodized, $1299 powdercoated. Complete bikes will sell for $2100 - $3800. Frame weight is 5.5 ?6 lb. (including rear shock) depending on size.
