芬蘭飛人復出首部曲
Mika現身...
Mika Hakkinen will make his first appearance at a grand prix this year at
Monaco.
The former twice world champion, who is currently taking a sabbatical from
Formula 1, is still officially undecided on whether he will return to the
sport.
Didier Coton, who is part of Hakkinen's management team, recently said the
Finn may give a hint over his future during the Monaco weekend.
There are a number of factors involved in the 33-year-old's decision.
Hakkinen may have decided that he is not missing F1 enough in which case
he may opt to turn the sabbatical into a permanent retirement.
However, the fact that he didn't announce his retirement last year suggests
he wants to keep the door open to F1 and that he is serious about returning.
Although he must be glad he decided to sit this year out as this year's
McLaren MP4-17 is way off the pace of the Ferraris and Williams.

David Coulthard's future may also be a factor. The Scot has not impressed
against his young team-mate Kimi Raikkonen this year having been
outqualified by the 22-year-old four times to two. Ron Dennis may feel it's
time for a change and may tempt his old favourite Hakkinen back to the fold
to form a Finnish superteam.
