今天比較閒
把網卡拿出來又測了一次
測試大約傳 4G 的資料
測試完成後用 netstat -i 去看網卡的狀況
cpu loading 的部分我只有用 top 去看
所以並不是很準, 參考一下就好
請自行對照上面的網卡型號
Server 端 OS 更新為 FreeBSD 4.5-STABLE
Client 端一樣, 不過 RAM 增加到 768MB, HDD 變為 Maxtor 80G 液態軸承


[Dlink 530TX]
speed: 9.5 MB/S 左右
cpu : 3x%
測試了兩次都出現了
vr0: watchdog timeout

不過還是繼續在跑 @@||
錯誤也一大堆
果然不適合傳大東西

[Dlink 500TX]
speed: 10.3 MB/S 左右
cpu: 10% 上下
errors: 0

[Intel 21143]
speed: 10.3 MB/S 左右
cpu: 12% 上下
errors: 0
不過測試過程****現
dc0: TX underrun -- increasing TX threshold
依照 FreeBSD manpage 上的說明
dc%d: TX underrun -- using store and forward mode The device continued
to generate transmit underruns even after all possible transmit start
threshold settings had been tried, so the driver programmed the chip for
store and forward mode. In this mode, the NIC will not begin transmis?
sion until the entire packet has been transfered into its FIFO memory.
這個我就沒有碰過了
de0 也是會增加 TX threshold
不過訊息不太一樣
這張網卡在 FreeBSD 上面的似乎跑得不是很好
之前我碰過的幾乎都是 dc0: watchdog timeout
然後就完全掛點了, 只能到 LOCAL 端重新開機
大概十天左右就會發生
(用來架 BBS, 每天總流量大約1000人)
btw~ 用 FreeBSD 的話建議別用這張卡...
