Please use the firmware file I attached here. After unzipping the file, run "fupw2k.exe" or "fupw9x.exe" to update your firmware. Reboot your computer after updating is done.

p.s.: Fupw2k.exe is for Windows 2000
Fupw9x.exe is for Windows 9x (95/98/me)
DVD drive will be detected as Pioneer after applying patch
You still need to use DVDGenie to override the region code settings of your dvd playing software
