M&K: The Choice Of Oscar® Winners
On March 24, 2002, Oscar moved into his new home in the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California. And as usual, we paid special attention to two of the awards handed-out this year - the Oscars for Best Sound and Best Sound Editing.

This year, both of these awards were won by audio professionals who use M&K monitors, and we would like to express our heartiest congratulations to them.

Michael Minkler, Myron Nettinga and Chris Munro won the Best Sound award for "Black Hawk Down". Mike Minkler has been a long-time M&K fan and has amassed a stunning body of work.

George Waters II and Christopher Boyes won the Oscar for Best Sound Editing for "Pearl Harbor". Congratulations to George, Chris and their team of professionals including Sound Design Editor, Beau Borders. Chris and Beau chose an all-powered M&K system with which to do their Oscar-winning sound design. Their M&K monitor system included five MPS-2510P main monitors, two MPS-5410 subwoofers and an LFE-4 bass management controller.
