The Rpcde utility works on all 163, 165 and 166 drives, perhaps on all Liteon / Jlms dvd's including OEM and rebadged.

download liteon_rpc_switch_v0.6.zip here unzip and run in Windows. select the correct drive in the drop menu and press "Disable", press "OK".
