No one ever thought about a GMS alternative until the US Govt. banned Huawei and limits American companies to work with Huawei. Last year at the Huawei developer conference, Huawei opened the HMS ecosystem to the public and replaced Google’s GMS services. As a result, now Huawei Mobile Services(HMS) reached more than 170 countries worldwide and has nearly 400 million monthly active users.
In Huawei’s 17th Global Analyst Conference on 18 May, Wang Yanmin, Head of Huawei’s consumer electronics BG Global Ecological Development, announced that the number of registered Huawei HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) developers are now reached 1.4 million worldwide.
