Very few cellphone tower were in working condition, so LTE stuck most of the
time... I have a small UPS trying to keep my modem running but there was no signal coming back... Basically nearly all communication was out except the
radio on the car... But then I have to drive 60km south to fuel the most important communication device I have in order to receive updates...
According to the news recently... "The new technology made it worse than 50 years ago when nearly all household had at least 1 battery operated handheld radio"...

My idea for generator is actually not for fridges or stoves.
My neighbours have BBQ stovoes in the yard which we can share to use,
generator is for just everyday usage for about 1-2 weeks if needed.
LTE towers, well, they just had this problem in JP recently where the city has no power and ppl got cut off from LTE towers.
So not really counting on that. lol
Fuel? I always got extra fuel in the garage coz we have gas lawnmower, during winter time I have 1 extra jerry can in the garage.
I think having food and water is more important then anything else.
