美國沒有身分證, 一般人會隨身攜帶的身分證明文件就只有駕照. 不會開車的當然沒有駕照. 在美國出生的會有出生證明, 但沒有人會隨身攜帶. 社會安全號碼的卡也不會隨身攜帶. 而且這個卡號是非常私密的. 警察也不會和你要社會安全號碼.

另外一點就是, 紐約州有 "Stop and identify" 法條, 但同樣是民主黨的大本營加州就沒有. 共和黨的德州也沒有...
