I almost bought a MBA tonight,
but I ended up getting a Surface Pro 3.
The lady of my life wanted a MBA to go with her iPhone 5S (also paid by me awhile ago) and was pretty adamant about it, I presumed she probably has some experience with OSX.
(Thank God she didn't ask for a iPhone 6 Plus or iWatch, that's another long story)

But NO, she SUDDENLY decided to tell me that she always used PCs running Windows until now.

Now before I got myself locked into another Apple device support horror story, I had to ask a few follow up questions.

I asked if there is anyone at her company using Macs, she says she is unsure.
Then I asked if her corporate IT department supports OSX, the response is also highly questionable.
Can the IT dept change her OSX from the US English version into Chinese? Not sure.
Does the IT dept have licenses to give her Chinese versions of the software she needs on OSX? Answer is also dubious.
So I talked her into getting a Surface Pro 3 (i5, 256GB).
