這個故事講得幾乎都是真的, 電影裡的那台機器 Bombe, 是真的存在, 差別在於不只一台. 在布來切利園區有一台復原過的, 每天還會跟其他的無線電站玩解碼遊戲
關於 Enigma code, 其實德國知道有被破解過, 所以又加了一個密碼輪, 於是才有了 U-571 奪取密碼機的故事.
