Jennifer Rush小時候在紐約和德國的巴划利亞渡過她的童年，她在1979年發行她的處女專輯〝海蒂斯特恩〞，沒有引起流行樂壇太多的注意，1982年，她決定隻身前往德國，在德國她再次發表了幾首歌曲，例如：Into My Dreasm、Come Give Me Your Hand、25 Lovers and Ring of Ice等等，直到1984年〝The Power of Love〞使她成為歐洲家喻戶曉的百萬銷量歌手，而這首傳唱多年的歌曲亦在當時被記錄在英國的吉尼斯世界紀錄大全「英國音樂歷史上女性藝人最暢銷的單曲」。
有趣的是：Jennifer Rush大部份的專輯沒有在美國發行，主要在歐洲發展，所以雖然她在美國出生，但很多人將之歸類為英國歌手
事實上這首歌似乎也不是很廣為人知，但我還挺喜歡的…
