2002年，加拿大陸軍「派翠西亞公主輕步兵團」（Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry）在阿富汗進行「森蚺作戰」（Operation Anaconda），其中由雷格斯戴爾伍長（Master Corporal Graham Ragsdale）率領的三人狙擊小組中，佛龍下士（Corporal Rob Furlong）以麥克米蘭TAC-50 .50口徑步槍於2,430公尺的距離一槍擊斃一名塔利班武裝份子。

Rob Furlong其實開了三槍, 第三槍才打中機槍手, 可惜的是接下來的一些事情讓他很灰心, 退伍去當警察了
他已經被擠下第二名了, 目前第一名是英國的 Corporal of Horse Craig Harrison, 用 L115A3, 配.338 Lapua Magnum. 再2009 十一月, 他也是連開了 9 槍才抓到距離然後連續兩槍幹掉敵人
