move free 原廠FAQ
Should I take Move Free® Advanced (red box), Move Free® Advanced Plus MSM (green box) or Move Free® Advanced Plus MSM and Vitamin D (blue box)?
While our human clinical study showed that Move Free® Advanced works very well for promoting joint health - twice as well as Glucosamine and Chondroitin alone, in fact. For those who want additional nutritional support for their joints, Schiff added the clinically-tested amount of MSM (1500 mg) for extra joint health benefits. And for those who want to take fewer pills per day and get the added benefit of both MSM and Vitamin D, the blue box is the one for you.
What does MSM do for joints?
MSM is a nutritional source for bioavailable sulfur. Joints need sulfur to make cartilage components (such as chondroitin sulfates). Animal research has shown that the sulfur from oral MSM actually gets incorporated into cartilage, bone and joint structures.
Why are there more tablets per serving for Move Free® Advanced Plus MSM compared to regular Move Free® Advanced?
Schiff uses the clinically-tested amount of MSM, which is 1500 mg. This amount is similar to the amount of Glucosamine, and that amount is equivalent (at least) to one large tablet.
What is the difference between topical and oral forms of MSM?
Oral forms of MSM are considered a dietary supplement and are internally absorbed into joint tissue. There hasn't been any compelling scientific evidence to support the use of topical forms of MSM.
Can I get the recommended amount of MSM from food sources?
While MSM is found in raw fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood and milk, it is extremely unstable. By cooking or processing these foods, the MSM content is eliminated or decreased markedly.
