以前重機可以領牌

一直到
民國68年，政府禁止150cc以上之機車在國內領照行駛，但仍可生產外銷。
民國69年，政府鑒於能源短缺，為減少燃油耗費，並針對市場實際需要 ，禁止150cc以上機車製造（外銷不受此限）及進口。
民國91年，因應台灣加入WTO，我國經濟部國際貿易局公告自7月1日起取消禁止進口之規定。
一禁禁了 30 年 讓很多人的腦袋還停留在當時
會被禁的另一說法為 很多 罪犯都騎重機給警察追
警察都追不到 只好禁掉
