I used same hack for my LG HT806TGW as the hack posted for LG HD DV6H, namely:
1. Switch on LG HT806TGW
2. Open the DVD tray
3. Press the (pause/step) button on remote control.
4. Press the "0" zero button 2 to 3 times till a region menu appears (Small block in the middle of the screen)
5. Choose "0" zero for region free.
6. All done. Insert any region DVD and enjoy.
