With 4 HDD I'll do RAID 1+0, In worst case A0 n B1 both failed I can still get it back.
With 14 Hard-drives, RAID60 is a good choise, Raid5/50 I'll not touch it again/ever... Storage this big you must consider rebuild time. Failure(data lost) is not an option, Size and redundancy is the most important thing to look for.

Actually I did think of doing 12 HDD in RAID 10
but just crazy to think that I only got 12 TB in return
But not any better with RAID 60, coz I only got about 16TB in return.
To be honest, so far I don't think I have that much data
but just for the future planning, 12TB might not be enough
With 50, too risky when losing hard drive and needs to worry when rebuilding better not lose another one. Then just say byebye to the arrary
