“The AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series supports hardware accelerated Blu-ray 3D playback by utilizing UVD technology. This is a feature that has been added to the new products as the ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series products relied on CPU-based playback. However, please note that this has been accomplished with firmware updates to the UVD2 technology present in “Juniper”, and not via UVD3.”
