Roy Tam: I've just bought ST3500418AS and I find that the "Seek Error Rate" of SMART is raising very fast
Thomas M.: Have you run the SeaTools for DOS short and long DST tests on the drive yet?
Roy Tam: I'm running Long DST using SeaTools for Windows. Short DST and SMART pass.
Thomas M.: Just a moment
Thomas M.: What application were you using to get that Seek Error Rate information from?
Roy Tam: HD Tune Pro. Speedfan. Everest
Thomas M.: It is not interpreting the SMART information correctly. If it passes both the short and long SeaTools tests, the drive is fine.
