Crosshair IV Extreme首先在2010的Cebit上曝光 ，這是採用AMD的890FX晶片組主機板 ，而在尚未上市又進行了改版的行動 ，新增了Lucidlogix Hydra SoC (System-on-a-chip)這個晶片 ，使得Crosshair IV Extreme可以進行異種混交(AMD cards, only Nvidia cards, or both AMD and Nvidia cards)

Crosshair IV Extreme使用了高達五組的PCI-Express x16 slots ，主機板支援AM3處理器(X2/X3/X4/X6) ，主機板具有核心解鎖功能 ，主機板提供了ROG Connect ，可以利用藍牙來進行超頻 ，另外C4E也支援四組記憶體插槽 ，與九組SATA port ，目前售價尚未曝光 ，但是看起來肯定不便宜
