NV 的 SP時脈能以不同於核心的方式運作
有時甚至是核心的 2 倍以上(記的有人說是 2.3~2.5 之間)
加上SP 的結構不同, NV 記的是兩個雙精度, AMD 則是一個雙精度 + 4 個單精度.
在 NV 的卡上, SP的利用度非常高, AMD 的則不然, 要能一次塞滿 1+4 個管線, 對設計師來說是個挑戰
但是,NV雙精度 x2 的架構下, 使的每個SP 變的龐大與複雜, 要塞管線並不容易.
AMD 的由於 SP結構簡單. 所以能很容易的提升數量, 最後用數量壓倒
對 NV 來說, SP 的時脈獨立也是有優勢, 比方說128 SP的 9800GTX+ 的運算力只略低於 GTX260 192 SP, 其他的像是記憶體數量與頻寬成了 9800GTX+ 的致命傷
所以NV 可以很容易的藉由提升製程, 拉高時脈來提升預算力. 而不增加管線數量
算法基本上, 可以簡化為: SP 時脈 *管線數 * 每個管線的單位效能(FLOPS/HZ)
