Cuda 也是支援 Directcompute 跟 OpenCL,
而且, CUDA主要是一個GPGPU架構，另外提供API以供開發者撰寫
很多時候, 大家都是不知不覺的用到功能
比方說 FLASH.
Adobe 已經說了, 將來會捨棄 CPU, 改採用GPGPU做 Flash的運算
還不提旗下的多款重量級軟體, 全數支援GPGPU.
這時候就看誰的支援度高了.
上面說最大宗是遊戲, 好吧. DirectCompute 裡面就有支援遊戲內的物理加速跟 AI,
還有 OS 下的特效, 圖片瀏覽. 我不排除將來加入硬解功能
換言之, Directcompute 多少會把市場重新洗牌, 特別是套裝與筆電市場
CUDA是提供了超越遊戲市場的功能, 這也是為了殺出重圍而下的一步棋.
遊戲市場也許施展不開, 但是在專業運算, 同一張卡GTX380買給消費者 499.99, 賣給這些人可能前面加個 1~4 (Quadro/Tesla)
也許 99.9% 的人只注重遊戲, 但是剩下的那 0.1%, 買的卡可能一買就是幾十~幾百張, 加上兩倍起跳的價格...
只要有這個可能性在, 就沒有理由去停止開發.
