昨天下了新版v2.13版Hitachi Feature Tool要來調整

WD/Seagate的AAM，但嘗試過後已發現無法調整，至於

HD Tune Pro(我使用v3.5 Pro註冊版)更不用說了，AAM

在我的AMD 690G平台不論是RAID或是單獨接口使用都無法

使用(AAM顯示心酸的!?) 爬文過後發現很多狀況下HD Tune pro

的AAM都確實是不能調的，不然就是調了之後自己又會跳回去。

Features in Version 2.13

-Removed the function of acoustic management.

-Changes ATA Drive Settings

-Enable or disable the read-ahead or write cache.

-Change the predefined capacity of the drive.

-Used when BIOS limitation exists and the drive is not recognized.

-Switch the Ultra DMA mode.

-Change advanced power mode.

- Switch between lowest and highest power consumption (maximum performance level).

-Configure SATA interface.

-Adjust maximum speed and enable/disable spread spectrum clocking.

看來Hitachi之道大家用他們的工具程式調的大爽了，連別家產品

也可以來摻一腳，這樣的確很奇怪阿。終於很心拿掉了支援AAM

功能。我記得以前Maxtor的工具程式PowerMax (還是Maxblast忘

了！？)ＤＯＳ下也可以調整，但自從被西捷買走了之後PowerMax

工具程式也拿掉了，反正很多ＤＯＳ下可以調AAM的工具程式正在

消失. ，大家以後可調整的彈性將越來越少，硬碟賣太便宜！廠商

正在鬧抃扭囉。
