It comes down to this: hackers will always find a way to get around security, locks and anything that companies and corporations try to lock down.
As you've seen with the music industry, DRM only caused a HUGE problem for consumers and it didn't stop music from being pirated. In fact it only fueled the fire.
Now look, iTunes has almost completely switched to DRM-free music, Amazon.com advertises "DRM-FREE MUSIC HERE!".
It's only a matter of time until the publishers realize that DRM is hurting their customers (not to mention their sales) and doing nothing to stop pirating. Hopefully sooner rather than later...
