IBM 是有提供製造技術給 AMD.比方當初號稱比 Intel 先進的 90nm, 也因此才生出 K8
而 45 nm 也將採用 IBM的技術.
繪圖晶片的製造還是交給其他晶圓代工製造廠.
簡單來說 IBM就像苦心鑽研武功的師父, AMD就像學徒, Intel 就像對手
學徒被打敗了, 回去找師父取經再出來打一場...
還有, 只想坐穩效能王座的化真的遲早被邊緣化, 現在已經進入 GPGPU的時代, 玩遊戲已經是次要, 多功能才更有賣(敗)點
至少行銷上可以說我們的產品不只能玩遊戲, 還可以加速日漸風行的影音編輯,
更不用說專業領域的數位影像處理如ADOBE, 都已經說會利用 GPGPU加速
顯卡不再只是顯卡
