我還記的2004 年的時候, 我用遠低於標準配備的電腦去跑 Doom 3, 還是跑的不錯, 雖然難免有點小頓, 但是換上 1.5G 記憶體跟 6800 GT (CPU不變, 還是那顆 P3 1.4S 512k L2)再用微調的方式充分利用主記憶體, 速度馬上就上來了
表示這遊戲的優化/可微調程度非常高
現在看看Crysis, 如果當代硬體推不動還情有可原,
但是GTX 280 已經將規格往上推了幾乎一倍, 單SP 效能則不知有多少, 如果還是推不動, 那就開發商真的要檢討了. 雖然我寧可相信是物理特效花了太多資源...
不過, 最大限度的展示自己的引擎功能固然不錯, 但是如果能用較少資源展示出同樣效果, 這才是好的引擎, 而不是不停的榨乾硬體資源.
