5.25in solid state disk supports RAID 0 functions

Taiwan – Acard Technology Corp. has released its ANS-9010 RAMDisk, a 5.25in solid state disk with six 184-pin DIMM slots that provide 12GB to 48GB data storage and up to 800MBps data access speed. It supports 400MHz, 533MHz, 667MHz and 800MHz DDR2 memory modules and has four SATA ports that transmit data at up to 3Gbps. The RAID 0-compatible unit supports automatic data backup and restore from DDR2 to a 2.5in IDE hard disk via its built-in IDE connector.

The driver-less RAMDisk operates on a 3.7V 4800mAh lithium battery and comes with LED indicators for DIMM failure, battery capacity, power status and SATA ports activity.
