Just calculate "sample rate x resolution x channels" for uncompressed PCM format. and since TrueHD is compressed, it should be < the above result.

According to Wiki, TrueHD itself is capable to carry 14 channel @ 192kHz/24bits. But on BD/HDDVD, it can carry only 8, the encoded bitrate is 18 Mbps. True HD uses MLP compressed format.
So we can estimate it as 8 x 192 x 24 = 36.8Mbps.

Again, according to Wiki, the MLP can provide about 2:1 compression rate.
So the final result became 18Mbps, just the same as the spec.
