「非揮發性半導體內存」是什麼東西呀??
為什麼具有非揮發性呢?? 我只知道汽油是有揮發性......內存應該是大陸用語吧...台灣應該稱"記憶體".....可是記憶體是固體的...應該本來就不會揮發呀...為何還要強調哩.....電晶體也是固體的..為什不也稱它非揮發性半導體電晶體呢??
看來施敏教授蠻有錢的......因為「非揮發性半導體內存」這專利是某國際大廠所擁有的發明專利喔....這間想必是他開的吧

剛剛查了一下施敏教授 是改進了非揮發性半導體內存的某一小部分,改良的部分是floating-gate的方式......ㄟ...發明非揮發性半導體內存跟改進差很多耶.........
改進nonvolatile memory根本不計其數....數都數不完......光台灣的就一堆數不完了...
不過我查到更多網站寫....施敏教授是"手機發明者之一"......喔!!這讓我更崇拜他了...
真的很難有一位教授能夠樣樣精通...熟數位,熟類比,又熟高頻....
不過查了資料看了半天...似乎都只提到非揮發性半導體內存的研究....該不會他改進了flash/eeprom,然後flash是手機的零組件之一,所以世界上的人一致公認為他是手機發明者之一.......
老實說....發明手機flash/eeprom應該不是重點吧....否則手機上那個鍵盤及塑膠外殼也可算是非常重要的了....手機prototype可以不用到flash/eeprom就可以動作了....但缺少鍵盤卻不行....該不會有人扯聲控吧.....最好是第一台手機就有聲控功能.....

Biography:
Professor Simon M. Sze is presently UMC Chair Professor and President of the National Nano Device Laboratories at the National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C.
Professor Sze was with Bell Laboratories in New Jersey, USA from 1963 to 1989. He joined the faculty of the NCTU Electronic Engineering Department in 1990.
Professor Sze has served as a visiting professor to many academic institutions, including the University of Cambridge, Delft University, the University of Hong Kong, Suchou University, Stanford University, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
Professor Sze is the co-inventor of various non-volatile memory technologies. He filed his first non-volatile memory patent at Bell Labs in the year 1967. He has made fundamental and pioneering contributions to semiconductor devices, especially the metal-semiconductor contacts, microwave devices, and submicron MOSFET technologies.
Of particular importance is his invention of the floating-gate semiconductor nonvolatile memory, such as the EEPROM and the flash memory. This memory is a key component for the cellular phone, notebook computer, smart IC card, digital camera, DVD, GPS, PDA, and a host of other electronic systems.
Prof. Sze has authored or coauthored over two hundred technical papers. He has written, edited, and contributed to 26 books. His book "Physics of Semiconductor Devices", Wiley, 1st Edition, ©1969; 2nd Edition, ©1981, 3nd Edition, ©2006, is the most cited work in contemporary engineering and applied science publications. It has been translated into seven languages. More than one million copies have been sold as of 2004.
Prof. Sze has received the IEEE J. J. Ebers Award, the Sun Yet-sen Award, the National Chair Professor Award, and the National Science and Technology Prize. He is a Life Fellow of IEEE, a member of the Academia Sinica, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the US National Academy of Engineering.

我不知道你是不是想用反諷法啦
不過從以上言論...坦白說，你還不如板上某位n兄，雖然他發表的往往避重就輕，文不對題，至少人家查證功夫還不錯。

施敏的書很多人讀過好不好.....我手頭上中英文版都有...
以前看過了好幾遍,但還是看不出來手機是他發明的呀......
如果凡事都可以隨便說是發明...
那我同學更厲害.....他是白光LED之父喔!! 嘿嘿....比發明白光LED厲害吧!!!
因為沒有他......就不可能有白光LED喔!!
白光LED的爸爸就是........藍光LED.........
那你說我同學厲害嗎?? 嗯!!夠他畢業而已.....但我絕對不會說藍光是他發明的....(但某製程真的是他發明的,只是人家又不一定願意採用他的製程)
