The top speed of honda is lower than Nissan NSX????. During the competition, NSX has many chances to take first place; however, during the curve, everybody needs to hit the break and the rpm drops dramatically. Simply put it this way - NSX needs more time to reach red line rpm (requires more time to reach the next gear).

If watch the video carfeully, you probably will find Honda type R reaches 9k rpm in very short time; on the other hand, the other cars (e.g. NSX) never had the chance to reach red line speed (high rpm) and change gear before the driver hit the break and slow down the car to make a sharp turn.
