Haggard is a German symphonic metal band founded in 1991. Haggard combines folk, classical, renaissance and medieval music with modern doom metal.

Currently, they are working on a fourth album, called Tales of Ithiria this time not based on a historical figure but the telling of a fantasy story, according to an interview given by Asis to FolkMetal.de in August 2005 [1]. Tales of Ithiria is scheduled for release the 29th of June 2007.
