Intel下一代Nehalem架構處理器將會推出兩款新插槽－－Socket B(LGA 1366)以及Socket H(LGA 715)的。Nehalem將成為Core 2 Duo處理器的繼任者，預定在2008年中登場 ，在剛推出時會做為高階的版本 ，預定在2009年普及。
而Intel 2008中會推的Nehalem處理器裡面會支援CSI(Common Serial Interconnect)連接技術 ，而CSI技術就是類似採用HyperTransport的東西 ，採用點對點連接 ，Intel CEO Paul Otellini信誓旦旦的表示，他將會比HyperTransport表現的更出色，更快的速度，更低的延遲。
