Schneider's first-rank symptoms of schizophrenia are symptoms which, if present, are strongly suggestive of schizophrenia.
The first-rank symptoms of schizophrenia include:
* auditory hallucinations:
o hearing thoughts spoken aloud
o hearing voices referring to himself / herself, made in the third person
o auditory hallucinations in the form of a commentary
* thought withdrawal, insertion and interruption
* thought broadcasting
* somatic hallucinations
* delusional perception
* feelings or actions experienced as made or influenced by external agents
