人人都說台灣的城鄉差距越來越大，所以越來越多的交通建設
高鐵、二高、雪山隧道都是為了促進鄉村與都市之間交流，並且促進
鄉村發展的建設。
但是這些真的是對於地區發展有必要的嗎？
台灣的電車從北到南早已通車多年，為何與附近都市相連的鄉鎮還是無法發展起來呢？
在日本，電車車站附近總會有比較大的城鎮，並且以車站為中心，向周遭輻射狀的發展。
為何在台灣，還是很多車站附近仍然是農田，並且一望無際呢？
以中部為例，從台中車站到鄰近的小鎮，電車很方便，並且搭乘人數並不多。
前一陣子從台中車站搭電車到通宵海水浴場玩，整個車程包含轉車只花了一個小時十五分。
在這短暫的時間內，看到了很多的鄉村景象。
明明交通就是如此的方便，為何人們還是一窩瘋的移往大都市呢？
